Review...
This company contacted me stating I was eligible for
a $12,000 government grant simply because I have been paying my taxes and
wanted to take me through verification for my banking information. There I would
be given a phone # of the company, supposedly based in Beverly Hills, CA.
I
asked the marketer if she worked for the IRS. She said,"Yes". I stated, "If you
work for the IRS then the government would just send me a check in the mail and
I should not need to provide bank info. She said they would send a package out
to me to fill out to claim the grant and it would cost a one-time $49.95 fee but
that I did not have to pay it now! Since she didn't convince me this was
legitimate, she put her supervisor on who told me I was "Wasting their time and
the grant would go to a charity. I said, "What BS". I called the FBI and filed a
complaint. I had, supposedly, gotten the address of the company in CA. To date,
I have not heard of the outcome.
This is a very bad telemarketing scam preying
on people who would hope to get free money through a grant which, we all know
are very hard to obtain. Please make the public aware!
