For 26 years I have disliked any form of MLM! It all started with a neighbor that pushed his program on my family when I was only a teenager. I had many more negative experiences over the years and eventually I felt I had a mission to destroy every Network Marketing Company that existed! I even made some of my friends quit companies they had joined! There was no one on this planet that hated MLM more than me.

I guarantee it. But that all changed 2 years ago when I felt I might lose my job. I was working at home as a design engineer and loved being around my kids. If I lost my job there was no one I wanted to work for. I then found Robert Allen's Multiple Streams of Income and had my eyes opened to the industry. Since that time I have had a complete change of heart. For those who are interested in the industry I have learned many things these past 2 years.

Some of this may fly in the face of many who are on this website but I learned this from my own experience. Let me share a few of them with you: 1-There is no "BEST" company even though I have my favorites. They are mostly all good and have good potential. Take a look at them as you would any investment, for that is what they are. The real issue is TRAINING. If you have a good trainer you can make almost any good company work. 2-The same is true for "Best Compensation Plan" (almost). 3-There are many negative examples of people who have been brainwashed and turned into MLM Zombies.

This is not the way it should be. There is no need to lose your friends in this industry. 4-The way to attract others to you is to be a good leader and teacher yourself. This is RELATIONSHIP marketing. It is NOT like other industries-there is a definite difference and the further away from sales you get the better. 5-Anyone who becomes a SPONSOR MONSTER should be shot. Those who have the talent to sign them up like crazy and then drop them like rocks have done more harm to this industry than they can possibly realize. Once we sign them up we have at least a minimal responsibility to help them start on the road to success.

6-Any time you start belittling other companies in your presentation, you send the message that in order for your prospect to survive in the industry they have to use hard sell techniques. This causes many many people to lose interest. It should be built on RELATIONSHIPS, not hard sell techniques (similar to #4). 7-This is a wonderful industry. In fact I think it is the most ethical and honest of all industries if done correctly. Watch BRILLIANT COMPENSATION if you want further information on this subject. Of course there are examples of abuse but we can do our part to show that if done correctly, the world can change and through Network Marketing it may be possible to raise the world out of the economic situation it is in.
