Jay Abraham's material is familiar to anybody that
received bulk mail advertising in the 1970's. However, for today's educated
consumer, his material just comes across as schlocky.
People WANT to
trust someone that has what they want. But reading JA's material brings up an
image of a bad used car salesman in a plaid suit and funny
sunglasses.
Modern advertsing copy is more conversational - the copy
should feel like you're reading a letter from a trusted friend.
Jay's
material was all the rage 30 years ago - but in the Internet age, his stuff
smells as bad as 30 year old shoes.
