You join Market America to make money but you are required to spend money to do so. You are required to pay a fee to get into the business and then you are required to purchase a certain amount of their products monthly. You also have a monthly fee to stay in the business. The products are supposedly high quality but by the time you add tax and shipping the total cost per product is outrages.
You get paid two ways. The simplest way is you purchase their products and try to resell them which can be difficult because they are so expensive to start with. The other way is much more complicated. First, you need to talk to a minimum of two other people into buying into the business. If you don't you will not see a dime above what you can resell their products for. Once you have two people below you, you have a chance to get a commission. As you and the people below you buy things you earn points. You also get points for the purchases that are made by the person who brought you into the business. As the person above you and people below you bring people into the business you earn points from their purchases. Once you have enough points you earn a small commission compared to the total cost of what was spent to get you your commission.
Unless you or the people below bring in a ton of people on board or unless the people below you are buying a ton of Market America's very expensive products this business will cost you more than you can make. From the Market America web page, you purchase items from other stores which is the best thing about Market America. But non-Market America products do not earn you very many points, making your chances of earning a commission from that very slim, unless you have a ton of people below you.
