I have been in SMC for 1 year with at least 6 months of that time with an online site that didn't work. When I called them they made excuses and said they would check into it. While they checked they continued to tap my account to pay for it until it was dry. Then it worked and they wanted more money.
They would not refund the money for when the site didn't work. Then I had money in one of my accounts and I thought everything was OK. When I started having trouble logging onto my account I called them and they told me I had been dropped. They said they had tried to take it from my account and it didn't go through. I checked my personal account and there was no record of them even trying to take out the membership fee.
The story gets worse. Then they said they wanted $20 more than the membership was when I had signed up. Plus they wanted another $25 because my account had lapsed. They said I forfeited any money in the account that was there more than a year. I not only had never been told this, they never even tried to warn me about before they took it.
So, I lost over $400 from them because of policies I was never informed about. The biggest part of this was because of their gift card program. If you really want to join SMC just stay away from their gift card program, you will loose more than you will make! | | |
