The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has been providing valuable education in all areas of real estate management for more than 70 years. It is the only professional management association covering both commercial and multifamily real estate sectors. It has affiliation with the National Association of Realtors. The IREM consists of 8 international chapters and 82 U.S. chapters. It also has partnerships with several other institutes and organizations world over. As an international advocacy organization, the IREM deals with myriad of real estate issues. Real estate professionals can take IREM courses covering many types of properties: residence, office, and retail. The courses integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications for timely solutions. The institute’s courses are of three levels - fundamental, intermediate and advanced. The IREM has about 16,000 individual members and 530 corporate members. Its credentialed membership programs focus on ethical real estate management practices. These programs include the Accredited Management Organization (AMO) accreditation, the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation, and the Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certification.
