The Adkins diet was put down when it came out and wasn't re-discovered until years later when the science caught up with the theory. Such is Psycho-Cybernetics. Instant success in the market place shouldn't be the criteria for judgment in the first place.
Secondly, a man credentialed "outside the field" of his theory shouldn't disqualify him from consideration. If anything his theory is strengthened through such. But, until empirical research "catches up," I'm afraid all we have to verify Maltz's theories is the wild success it provides from people who are willing to apply the almost biblical principles.
