Larry Holder is the founder of the company Legacy 1, which offers real estate investment courses and mentoring. The name of the company was originally W E I Inc. when it started in 2001. However, the name was changed in 2004.
Larry offers a free orientation session promoting his two products - the Finders Program and the Mentor Program. The first program costs US$2,495, while the second one comes for US$7,995.
Both of his programs offer guidance on how to find investment properties. After receiving the guidance, you can find a property on your own and report it to Larry. In case of a successful deal, he would put down the money and you can collect US$5000 as finder’s fee under the Finders Program. If you choose the Mentor Program, you will get half the profits from the deal.
Even though Larry’s programs look very promising, there are many complaints against it. The quality of tuition is poor, while the charges are high. The Better Business Bureau in Springfield, MO, received complaints about his product quality, selling methods and refund practices. Many of his clients later realize that there were other ways of learning real estate investing without punching holes in their pockets.
You do not spend money on Larry’s course to find properties and finance those. You would find several financiers ready to lend money and they would not even ask 50% of the profits.
