| April 10, 2008 | | Review by Michele M. -- Former Amway member has a bad experience with her upline | | Review...
As a former "Down-line" in Amway I offer you a word or two of caution. Besides the products that you have access to as an Amway distributer, there is the WONDERFUL (NOT) teaching system. They will get you to buy thousands and thousands of dollars worth of training and motivation tapes and books. They "encourage" you to spend gobbs of money to go to conferences all over the country, which by the way are really religious cult events. If you ever have any doubts you will be told that you "Do not have the dream and that you do not believe strongly enough" and with that mindset you will fail. Unless you do everything that your upline tells you to do - without question - you are ostracized. The amount of money that we put out is overwhelming. We believed. We listened. We brought new people in. But finally we gave up and cut our losses. The attack to our self esteem was devastating. We followed and ended up being $10,000 in debt. So, if someone approaches you and mentions multi level marketing RUN FOR THE HILLS! Hold on to your wallet and whatever you do, DO NOT look at those "Diamond" distributors and think that you can accomplish the same! Maybe if you are a top notch sales person, you may attain some level of success. However, sales is not the way to the profitable levels - bringing people in under you is where the money could start to come in. Make sure that you realize that you are a part of a sketchy organization. If that does not fit with your beliefs and passion - RUN FOR THE HILLS. Please learn from my pain! | | |
