| April 27, 2008 | | Review by Anonymous -- Former Market America representative received little help from upline | | Review...
I am a former Market America representative I loved everything about the products. The one thing that convinced me to join was hearing that "You are not in it alone." "Your upline is there to help you with any problems you have" and the lingo went on. My upline, sister in law and her upline, said they would be there to help me, but when that day came, they just were not available, but I could do a three way call with a new prospect. The problem was that I lived in an adjoining state. (That did not seem to matter before I joined) The other thing was the cost averaged out to be over $1200 a year out of my pocket. A person really needs to be aware of the hard pavement pounding work that is involved once all the family members are signed up or don't want to see you come around anymore. The products are awesome, but very expensive. Most of the people I talked with would try the products, like them, but could not afford them, just as I could not afford them. Recruiters need to learn how to actually mentor the people they bring on board. That is the biggest problem I heard from others. Closing a sale is not easy and when someone is working with their first few prospects, the upline needs to be there to encourage the new rep and the prospect. | | |
