During the past 40 years, this mother of three adult children and eight grandchildren, made budgets she couldn't keep. Even taking two college courses in finance, Crown Financial Concepts and two other like courses failed to help. Completing Financial Peace University by David Ramsey has done what other courses failed to do.
Dave Ramsey uses humor and a creative, down-to-earth approach to teach solid, Bible-based principles and makes learning fun by utilizing creative visual aids and real-life examples, which successfully drive each principle straight to the heart, revealing the importance of people controlling their finances rather than finances controlling them.
Whether or not he has the so called "certifications" by worldly standards is immaterial. His personal experience reveals a man who lost everything then had the courage to take ownership of his mistakes and turn apparent tragedy into triumph.
Thankfully, Dave chose to share his hands on experience with others. His delightful humor encouraged this right-brained, artistic woman to feel less intimated by the mystery of keeping and maintaining a budget, the importance of getting out of debt, to pay cash for all purchases, saving, investing, the necessity of understanding the spiritual benefits of returning to God what is rightfully His and gladly pay it forward to others. | | |
