He made the call of the century in January of 2000. Who else called that top with such timing and precision? The 500 was at 1469 and he said "upside potential 5% or less, downside potential 20% or more. That was, and is an amazing fact. More than a feather in his cap.
His 2008 record is...He missed seeing the bear market that became a fact of history when the S and P closed below 1252. He advised outright "buying the market" in the preceding months at certain levels. I think, "The smarter you are, the bigger the mistakes you can make"...I hold no ill will.. He's just a man. | | |
