| March 08, 2008 | | Website owner does not like pushiness of SMC or the poorly selling products | | Review...
I have been with SMC since June 2007. They pushed and pushed for me to buy one of their websites. When I refused my coach got angry and rude. I made a website on Yahoo for $40 a month (instead of the thousands my coach wanted me to spend). I've gotten 6000 page hits on my site only to sell a few hundred dollars worth of product (total, not profit) and then having to refund most of it because the items were out of stock or discontinued. I am even selling at below yellow price so there isn't much profit to begin with. To date I am spending about $80 a month between SMC membership and web hosting. I've spent a substantial amount of time building and maintaining my site and have hundreds of their products in it. My average profit per month is below $10 a month. That doesn't cover the time I spend working on my site for an hour. SMC double billed my credit card for several of my orders. After spending hours and hours with them trying to get them to release the extra money, nothing was really resolved and I had to wait a week for it to be returned. I had to borrow money from my wife for refunds because SMC had locked up my money! Anyone interested in SMC, don't waste your time and money. Their biggest interest is in selling memberships and their own websites (which they claim is an independent company)! One of the main reasons I trusted SMC was Tom Bosley. Now I see that he is only in it for the money they pay him and not to help people. I will never trust anything he endorses ever again, nor will I ever watch any show he is or was in again. My experience has been very sobering. I will always check sites like the one this review is posted on before getting involved with a business opportunity again. Hopefully I can recoup some of my losses at tax time. | | |
