| June 18, 2008 | | | Paying off your mortgage early is NOT a good idea, if you took those extra payments and invested them in a diversified portfolio, you in time would more than enough money to payoff your mortgage if you had to. I do believe in eliminating unsecured debt, however the name of game is building wealth and liquidity, not being completely debt free... Tell me what good is paying off your house if you have zero cash,, and then you lose your job... Mortgages should be seen as a tool to build wealth | |
